Govt has planned the installed generation capacity to be around 817 Giga Watt by March 2030: R.K Singh in RS
National Grid has an inter-regional transmission capacity of 1 lakh 12 thousand 250 Mega Watt and provides seamless power transfer throughout the Electricity Grid. In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, Power and New and Renewable Energy Minister R.K Singh said this today.
Mr. Singh said that by the last month, Installed Generation Capacity of the country has reached 393 Giga Watt and the government has planned the installed generation capacity to be around 817 Giga Watt by March 2030.

He said, India has robust Transmission Grid capacity. Power from one State to another State can be transmitted through Electricity Grids. The cumulative inter-regional transmission capacity of the National Grid as of last month was more than 1 lakh Mega Watt, which has ensured seamless transfer of power in the Electricity Grid.
