Parliamentary affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi has appealed to the students to follow the dress code in their schools to avert any controversy.
Talking to media outside the Parliament today on the Hijab controversy in Karnataka state, he said, the issue is being raised by some people for political mileage.
Mr Joshi said, school teachers and principals were requested to ensure students follow the dress code.
Meanwhile, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai while interacting with reporters outside Parliament, refrained from making any comments on the issue, saying it has reached the state High Court where the hearing is underway.
