FIH Hockey Pro League: India beat France 5-0 in their opening match in South Africa

Olympic bronze medallist India began their FIH Pro League 2022, Hockey campaign with a bang as they thrashed France 5-0 in the season opener in Potchefstroom, South Africa yesterday.

India scored three goals in eight minutes in the second quarter and then slammed two more in the third quarter before taking the foot off the pedal in the fourth period in the match.

Harmanpreet Singh, Varun Kumar, Shamsher Singh, Mandeep Singh and Akashdeep Singh scored for India to start their campaign in South Africa on a winning note.

India face hosts South Africa today in their second match. The match will start at 9:30 pm Indian Time.
