President Kovind extends greetings to all women on eve of International Women’s Day

President Ram Nath Kovind has extended his greetings to all women on the eve of International Women’s Day.

In his message, Mr Kovind said Indian women are making a significant impact in their personal and social lives as well in the national arena today.

He said they are also playing an important role in the development process of the country.

He stressed on the importance of empowering country’s daughters to make them self-reliant. It would enable them to achieve their aspirations even while fulfilling their responsibilities towards their family, society and nation.

The President said International Women’s Day is also an occasion to reiterate the resolve to ensure safety, dignity and prosperity of women. He said women must be given opportunities to realize their potential and contribute in nation-building.
