Telangana: CM KCR announces filling up 80,039 vacant posts in state Govt

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has announced that notifications will be released today for filling up 80,039 vacant posts in the state Government. In a statement on the floor of the State Assembly this morning, he announced that 95 percent of jobs at District, Zonal, and Multi Zonal levels will be reserved for locals and 5 percent will be kept in open category.

He said the separate state movement held for funds-water-and posts of its own and with issuance of notifications for filling up vacancies, the task accomplished.  He also announced that regularization of 11 103 contract employees, most of them are in the Energy sector. He revealed that the recruitment process will put an additional burden of 7,000 crore rupees on the state exchequer.

He further stated that keeping in view of the aspirations of the unemployed youth, the Chief Minister announced a relaxation of the upper age limit for direct recruitment, for ten years. With this, the upper age limit for OC category candidates will be 44 years, whereas it is 49 years for SC, ST, and BC candidates and 54 years for Divyangs.

According to the new recruitment policy as explained by the Chief Minister, maximum over 44 thousand posts will be filled in Home, Education, and Health departments. All 33 districts will be in 7 zones and they have been identified into two multi zones.
