Chennai: Telangana Governor encourages women to establish their rights in all areas of life

Inaugurating the Women’s day program organized by Press Information Bureau and Field outreach Bureau at Chennai today, Telangana Governor Dr.Tamilisai Sounderajan encouraged women to establish their rights in all areas of their life.

Appreciating women who serve in the prestigious Defence Forces, she explained the role of parents in bringing up their sons and daughters equally so that girl children and women are respected.

The Governor told that economic empowerment was one of the tools which help women to lead an independent life with dignity. She informed that help lines were introduced by Central and State Governments to enable women in distress.

Calling women not to compromise, but to develop skills and counter the challenging situations in their life, she said that boldness and courage were needed for women to handle domestic abuse.
