NTPC Simhadri’s efforts towards green energy: CGM Diwakar Kaushik
Media representatives expressed happiness over NTPC Simhadri’s continued efforts not only in the field of Thermal Power generation but also towards green energy and lauded the management for its efforts.
The media team visited the NTPC Simhadri Power Plant today. In addition to thermal power generation, solar power and green energy projects undertaken by the company were examined.
Addressing the media on the occasion, Chief General Manager Shri Diwakar Kaushik said that the establishment of this forum for mutual understanding was auspicious.
The major high points of the interactive interface included NTPC Simhadri’s efforts towards green energy like Standalone Fuel-Cell based 50 kW Micro-grid Pilot project with hydrogen production using electrolyser, marking a feat of hundred percent ash utilization in the previous years, a comprehensive waste management campaign and blanket ban on plastic etc.

A significant development was the successful completion of 25 MW Floating solar in record time A focal point of the discussions was also the expanding social footprint of the organization with the evolving CSR initiatives along with various new initiatives which are in pipeline, like upcoming Girl Empowerment Mission.
Initially, HOHR Smt Ruma De Sharma welcomed the Local Telugu reporters and also emphasized the importance of Media in covering the activates of an organization The participants were briefed about the plant, its achievements, future prospects and company updates from the past year.
