Vizag Zoo Park conduct “Best out of Waste” innovative event at Bioscope under Global Recycling Day
On the occasion of Global Recycling Day, March 18, 2022, Indira Gandhi Zoological Park, Visakhapatnam hosted an innovative event named “Best out of Waste” today at Bioscope.
The main intention of the program is to make usable items out of used/useless plastic water bottles, said Dr. Nandani Salaria, IFS, Curator,IGZP. About 250 NSS volunteers from Bullayya College participated in this event.
In view of the upcoming summer season, nests have been made to accommodate the birds and also made bird feeders for feeding of birds. The plastic pollution is one of the major problems our society is facing today and we have to come up with some innovative ways to solve this problem.
At the same time, everyone should reduce the use of single use plastic in their daily lives. Damaged and unwanted plastic items should be recycled as this small act would help to reduce the consumption of plastic material, she added.
