Telangana: Establishment of ‘Haritha Nidhi’ is historic: Fundraising by public representatives and employees from April: Harish Rao
Harithanidhi is for everyone to take part in Haritha Telangana Sadhana: A small amount from the April salaries of public representatives and employees is credited to Harithanidhi.
Finance Minister Tanniru Harish Rao said the historic decision was taken with the setting up of the Telangana Haritha Nidhi, which is the country’s compass in development and welfare schemes. Chief Minister KCR, said the Haritha Nidhi was set up for the first time in the country with the intention of making the state greenery.
A ministerial review meeting was held in the Assembly Committee Hall with the top brass of the concerned departments on green fund procedures and donation deposits. Along with Finance and Medical Health Minister Harish Rao, Forest and Environment Minister Indrakaran Reddy, Panchayati Raj, Rural Development Minister Errabelli Dayakara Rao and officials from various departments were present.
Finance Minister Harish Rao said that the government has issued orders setting up a fund to ensure that everyone in the community participates in the Haritha Telangana practice in the form of donations and that the process of depositing these donations will start from the month of April. For this, the concerned departments should start work through internal orders, as well as explain the intentions of Harithaharam and Harithanidhi to Telangana so that everyone can understand.
The ministers also directed the companies, shops and various establishments to ensure that the appropriate amount is deposited in the Haritha Nidhi as per the government orders already issued. Minister of State for Forests Indrakaran Reddy said that Telangana stands as an ideal for the rest of the states in the country in terms of forest conservation and greenery.
Panchayati Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao said that the Haritha Nidhi would further increase the responsibility of the community and the people for greenery and the funds raised would help in the conservation of plants and greenery in nurseries.
During the review meeting, Rani Kumudini, Special Principal Secretary, Ministry of Labor, and A. Shanti Kumari, Rajat Kumar, Special Chief Secretaries, Department of Forest and Irrigation, Sunil Sharma, Special Principal Secretary, Department of Power, Vikas Raj, Chief Secretary, General Administration, Burra Venkatesam, Chief Secretary, BC Welfare, PCCF R.M. Dobrial, Additional PCCF M.C. Pargain, Labor Commissioner Ahmed Nadeem, Civil Supplies Commissioner Anil Kumar, SC Development Secretary Rahul Bojja, Panchayati Raj Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Finance Secretary Sridevi, R&B Secretary Vijayendra, ENC Muralidhar Rao, TSIIC MD EV Narsimha Reddy and other officials were participated.
