State Govts responsibility to allocate land to set up Kendriya Vidyalayas schools: Dharmendra Pradhan

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today said that a discussion on the number of recommendation seats to Kendriya Vidyalayas will be taken up in the Parliament separately.

Replying to many queries raised by members on increasing the allotment of recommendation quota for MPs in Kendriya Vidyalayas at the Lok Sabha, he said that the Kendriya  Vidyalayas were established for the facility of the Central Government servants all over the Country.

He explained that proposals should be sent to the Department of Education and it will be the responsibility of the State Governments to allocate the land to set up schools. The Minister expected more cooperation from the State Governments on the issue.
