Rising fuel prices touch Lok Sabha: Adjournment of House amid concerns of members
Lok Sabha witnesses adjournments following uproar by opposition on different issues including the fuel price hike
Lok Sabha has been adjourned till 2 PM amidst sloganeering by opposition members. As soon as the house met for the day, opposition members came into the well of the House raising slogans on different issues including the fuel price hike. Leader of Opposition and Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury asked the chair to take up discussion on the price rise issue. Speaker Om Birla tried to run the Question Hour for a while.

But the opposition members continued sloganeering. Speaker adjourned the House till 12 noon.
Later, when the House met after the first adjournment, there was no change in the situation as opposition members again trooped into the well of the House. The Speaker adjourned the House till 2 PM.
