Korea Open-2022: PV Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth storm into singles semi-finals
In Korea Open Badminton Championship, World No 7, PV Sindhu and World Championships silver medallist Kidambi Srikanth kept Indian hopes alive by storming through to the women’s and men’s singles semi-finals respectively.
In the quarter-finals at Suncheon today, Kidambi Srikanth defeated Wanho Son of Korea, 21-12, 18-21, 21-12. Srikanth will face the winner of the match between Thailand’s eighth-seeded Kunlavut Vitidsarn and Indonesia’s Jonatan Christie in the semi-finals.

In the women’s singles quarterfinal match, PV Sindhu beat Thailand’s Busanan Ongbamrungphan in straight sets 21-10, and 21-16. Sindhu will face the winner of the match between Japan’s Saena Kawakami and Korea’s An Seyoung in the semi-finals.
