CIPS Hyderabad Director Mr.C. Achalender Reddy,IFS (Retd) recalles his experience on the eve of visit of Union Minister Shri Bhupender Yadav to Pakke Tiger Reserve, ArunachalPradesh.
Once upon a time in early 1990s, I was DFO Pakhui ( Now Pakke TR) Sessa orchid and Eaglenest WL Sanctuaries spread over two districts. Wrote first Pakhui Ecodevelopment plan after undergoing training in Ecodevelopment planning at WII , Dehradun for 3 months.
Tried to develop Ecotourism in a planned manner . Mr Das the CS of Assam visited Pakhui sanctuary and stayed with us for one day and wrote a DO to Arunachal CS Mr Ringu appreciating my work .I got first Ecotourism complex inaugurated in 1994 at Khari camp site by the then Hon’ble CM ,Gegong Apang inside pakke
His Excellency, the Governor of Arunachal visited Pakhui sanctuary and appreciated steps taken to promote Ecotourism. Sharing a news paper item published in 1994 and a copy of DO letter please. Thanks for sharing this photo which brought back my fond professional memories.
