Kohli used the DRS, but to no avail. While walking back, Kohli also smashed his bat on the ground. By the time he got out, the Challengers were already in a commanding position. In the end, they won the game by seven wickets with nine balls left.
However, Kohli looked dejected as he vented out his frustration even as he was walking back to the Pavillion. An animated Kohli was seen entering the dressing room at the MCA.
Virat Kohli had started well against Punjab Kings with an unbeaten 41 in a high -scoring match but flopped against Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals in the subsequent matches.
Virat Kohli is the all-time leading run-scorer in the Indian Premier League. He had a landmark season in 2016 when he smashed 973 runs including 4 hundreds.
In 2021, Virat Kohli stepped down as captain of India’s T20I side before announcing his decision to quit as RCB captain. However, he promised to play for the franchise till the end of his IPL career.
Virat Kohli was also sacked as ODI captain in 2021 before he resigned as Test skipper after India’s defeat to South Africa in a 3-match series.

Virat Kohli still continues to command respect from opponents and he is a prized wicket for any bowler. On Saturday, Kohli was involved in a strong second-wicket stand with Anuj Rawat as RCB sought their third successive win in IPL 2022.
Kohli’s fandom was evident when a girl was seen holding a banner that said “I will not date until Virat ‘s 71st”.
The banner referred to Kohli’s hundred drought. He had scored his 70th international hundred in November 2019 and has since struggled to reach triple figures.
It remains to be seen when Virat Kohli scores his next hundred but the innings against MI will undoubtedly bring smiles not just for RCB fans but for followers of Indian cricket.
