AP: Consultative meeting on CPS with State Govt Employee’s unions
On Tuesday, the Andhra Pradesh State Secretariat held a consultative meeting with various unions in the second block on the contributory pension scheme in the presence of state education ministers Botsa Satyanarayana, state municipal ministers Adimulapu Suresh and government adviser Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy.
The meeting discussed the proposed Guaranteed Pension Scheme (GPS) with the unions and sought the views of the unions on the old pension scheme (OPS).
The ministers and government advisers made it clear to the unions that they would discuss these in more depth and look into ways to avoid harm to the government and its employees.
Minister Botsa Satyanarayana, Adimulapu Suresh and government adviser Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy told the unions that they would meet again on the issue and discuss all the issues in detail.
The meeting was attended by Finance Chief Secretary Shashi Bhushan Kumar, Finance Secretary N Gulzar, Secretary (Services) H Arun Kumar and Government Adviser (Employee Welfare) P Chandrasekhar Reddy. Services Association President Bopparaju Venkateshwarlu, AP Government Employees Union President Suryanarayana, State Secretariat Employees Union General Secretary N. Prasad, Rajesh, STU President Sai Prasad, APUTF President N. Venkateshwarlu, PRTU, RTC, Drivers Union, Fourth Class Employees Union, Representatives of other unions participated.
