World Bicycle Day: Cycle rally to be organizes at iconic locations in Karnataka
As a part of World Bicycle Day, a cycle rally will be organised at the iconic locations in Karnataka tomorrow. The State Minister for Youth Empowerment and Sports Dr. Narayan Gowda informed media persons in Bengaluru today that the cycle rally will convey the message of using bicycle everyday to reduce pollution and to lead a healthy lifestyle.
Nehru Yuva Kendra and National Service Scheme volunteers will be taking part in the cycle rally. The cycle rallies have been organised across the country in 75 iconic locations as part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the 75th year of India’s Independence.

In Karnataka, the rally will be held in Hampi World Heritage site, Belur, the citadel of Hoysala architecture, Malpe sea beach and near the historical Madikeri fort.
The Chief Executive Officers of Germany-based companies will participate in the cycle rally with 200 cyclists and will drive in the message of inculcating a culture of using cycles for commuting to close by places.
