Telangana celebrates its Formation Day today

Telangana is celebrating its Formation Day today. All arrangements are put in place for the formation day celebrations across the state. The main, ceremonial programme will be held at the Public Gardens in Hyderabad this morning where Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will unfurl the national flag and address people of the state.

Before that, the Chief Minister will pay tributes at the martyrs’ memorial located opposite public gardens.

State governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan will hoist the tri-colour at a special programme at Raj Bhavan. State Ministers and elected representatives will also be taking part in the celebrations held at districts. Political parties, government offices and others will be holding celebrations on the occasion.

Buildings of public importance, public places and open places have been decked up for the Formation Day.
