Environmental Interest Singareni Preference: Directors S. Chandrasekhar and N. Balaram at the World Environment Day Celebrations
Directors Shri S. Chandrasekhar (Operations), Shri N. Balaram (Personnel, Finance, P&P) said that Singareni Calories is working for the protection of the environment by adopting eco-friendly mining methods with new technologies in the process of producing coal which is crucial for the country’s energy needs.
After the emergence of Telangana state, about 5.5 crore saplings were planted in the last seven years under the guidance of the company’s chairman and MD Shri N. Sridhar, who took part in the Green Dew program on a large scale.
He said that a pollution free society can be seen only when everyone takes responsibility for environmental protection. The directors were the chief guests at the celebrations held at the Singareni Bhavan in Hyderabad on Sunday on the occasion of World Environment Day.

Mr. Surendra Pandey, Adviser (Forestry) at the event, warned that if the environment is not protected, life-threatening conditions will arise in the future unless oxygen is also purchased in the market.
General Manager (Coordination) Mr. K. Suryanarayana said that Mr. Jaggi Vasudev, Founder of the Isha Foundation, is working to raise environmental awareness around the world in the name of the Save Soil program.
Directors Shri S. Chandrasekhar, Shri N. Balaram, Adviser (Forestry) Shri Surendra Pandey, GM (Coordination) Shri K. Suryanarayana planted saplings in the premises of Singareni Bhavan Nursery as part of the program. Environmental protection has been pledged. The event was attended by Administrative Manager Shri N. Bhaskar, AGM (Finance) Shri Rajeshwara Rao, DGMs Shri Thadaboina Srinivas, Shri Vijender Reddy, Deputy Chief Medical Officer Shri Balakotayya, Additional Manager Shri Venkatesh Dunde, Senior Pivo Shri S. Srikanth and others.
