NTPC-Simhadri: 28-day Girl Empowerment Mission programs have come to a successful conclusion
A four-week long Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM)-2022 concluded on a grand note at NTPC-Simhadri on Tuesday.
Chief Guest of this occasion Shri G C Choukse-Group General manager Simhadri said in his closing ceremony speech that NTPC has initiated the Girl Empowerment Mission for uplifting the lives of underprivileged girls living in different regions of the country.
Through this unique strategic CSR initiative and to support the cause of Girl Child, NTPC aims to make every girl aware about essential education, health and self-defense programs.
There are 120 girls of Simhadril, participated in a four-week Residential Workshop. The children participated in the development programme were in the age group of 10-12 years from the areas located in and around the NTPC Simhadri plant.
This programme has a uniquely devised curriculum for enhancing the life skills of the students. The GEM students are our future ambassadors of NTPC
GGM appreciated the HR-CSR for organizing this GEM-2022 program successfully and thanked parents keeping the faith on NTPC.
Parents who participated in closing ceremony thanked the NTPC for giving this opportunity for their children and they opined that this will be helpful for the overall development of GEM students
On this occasion GGM -CPG Shri S Govindarajan, GM (O&M) Shri R K Jha and other GMs, HODs, Union and Association, DLC members participated.
