Ace Ultra Cyclist Preeti Maske’s attempt to set new world record in cycling
Border Roads Organisation’s Project Himang Chief Engineer Brigadier Gaurav S. Karki flagged off Ace Ultra Cyclist Preeti Maske’s attempt to set a new world record in cycling.
Preeti Maske is attempting to complete 480 kilometres of tortuous Leh – Manali road with five high passes.
The 44-year old Pune resident Preeti has several cycling records to her name including Solo Cycling from Srinagar-Leh-Khardungala Top in five days, 1,600 kms from Nashik to Amritsar in five days and record of fastest women cyclist on Golden Quadrilateral covering 6,000 kms in 24 days and Kashmir to Kanyakumari 3,800 kms in 17 days.
She also participated in cycling at high altitude of 3,400 metres in Uttrakhand late last month at Indo-China-Nepal border cycling expedition Tour-de-Kailash. She also represented India in Master’s Athletics meet in Malaysia in 2018 and won two golds, one silver and one bronze medal for India.

At launch of Leh-Manali cycling expedition, Commandant Hemant Singh and Guinness Book of World Records officials were also present.
