Shiv Sena decides to take disciplinary action against MLAs who went along with Eknath Shinde
Shiv Sena has decided to take disciplinary action against those MLAs who accompanied Eknath Shinde to Guwahati and remained absent for today’s cabinet meeting.
The party has issued a letter in this regard which says that the party has convened an urgent meeting of Shiv Sena Legislative party at 5 pm in Mumbai, in the backdrop of the current political scenario in the state and it is mandatory for them to remain present in the meeting.
If they fail to attend the meeting then it will be assumed that the absent MLA’s have clear intention to leave the membership of the party and the action will be taken against them according to the disqualification of the members rule in the Constitution of India. This was decided in the cabinet meeting which concluded a short while ago which was chaired by the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray virtually.
Meanwhile Eknath Shinde has claimed the support of 46 MLAs and expressed confidence that more MLAs will join him soon. Although he said that these MLAs should not be considered as rebels and they are still Shiv Sainiks.
Meanwhile Nitin Deshmukh who had visited Surat has returned to Nagpur and said that he was caught by Gujrat Police when he tried to return from Surat and taken to a hospital and they forcefully injected some medicine on his shoulder in the hospital.
