Kerala: State Electricity Regulatory Commission revises electricity tariffs in the state
Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission has revised the power tariff in the state for the period 2022-23. The tariff has been increased by 6.6 per cent and there will be no increase for domestic consumers using less than 50 units per month.
For the consumers using up to 150 units per month, the average hike will be less than 25 paise per unit.

Tariff for agricultural connections will remain unchanged. BPL families with connected load upto 1000 watts and having monthly consumption up to 40 units, orphanages, old age homes and Anganwadis were also spared from tariff revision.
Kerala Electricity Minister K. Krishnan Kutty said that the interests of the people and State Electricity Board have been protected through the tariff revision.
