Amarnath Yatra resumes from Nunwan base camp Pahalgam, Baltal route
In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, with the improvement in weather conditions along Pahalgam and Baltal routes, Shri Amarnathji Yatra resumed this morning from both Nunwan base camp Pahalgam and from Baltal route after remaining suspended yesterday because of the incessant rains along the Yatra routes and around the holy cave shrine.
A fresh batch of 8,605 Yatris from Base Camp Baltal left towards the holy cave this morning while as 872 Yatris left from Nunwan Base Camp towards Chandanwari.
The 18th batch comprising 5,284 pilgrims also left Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas Base Camp from Jammu in the wee hours today in a convoy of 225 vehicles towards Kashmir Valley.
1,72,882 Yatris drawn from different parts of country have paid their obeisance to Lord Shiva at the holy cave shrine till yesterday evening.
