Tomorrow is International Tiger Day
Andhra Pradesh will celebrate International Tiger Day tomorrow under the auspices of Forest Department. On this occasion, a state-level special program will be organized at Tirupati Sri Venkateswara Animal Exhibition Hall, said a statement from the state forest minister’s camp office.
This program was attended by Mr. Peddi Reddy Ramachandra Reddy, Head of State Forestry, Mining and Power Department, Mr. Y. Madhusudhan Reddy, Head of State Forest Force, It is becoming a tradition to celebrate International Tiger Day on 29th July every year.
The Andhra Pradesh government has recognized the importance of tigers in environmental protection, especially Govt. On the orders of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, to increase the number of tigers in Andhra Pradesh, special instructions have been given to the state forest department for their conservation and all the necessary facilities are being provided.
On the initiative of Forest Minister Peddi Reddy Ramachandra Reddy, the state level Tiger Day program will be organized at Tirupati Zoo Park on Friday.
To this extent, the zoo authorities are making arrangements under the supervision of Sri Venkateswara Zoo Park Curator M Himashilaja.
