Bijli Mahotsav organized at Nongpoh, Ribhoi District of Meghalaya as part Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav

Union Ministry of Power is celebrating “Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya – Power @2047” under “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav from 25th to 30th of this month  across the country in association with all Power CPSEs and State DISCOMs.

Under it, Bijli Mahotsav was organized  yesterday at Nongpoh, Ribhoi District of  Meghalaya as part Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav . The achievements and progress of the country in the field of the power  sector were showcased through short films during the event.

On the occasion, Mayralborn Syiem, MLA of Nongpo talked about various development schemes of the Central Government and appreciated the recently launched Jal Jeevan Mission scheme.

In his address, Deputy General Manager, North Eastern Electric Power Coorporation,  Abhishek Kumar  said, the  event is dedicated to the people of the country to commemorate 75 years of Independence and the glorious history, the country’s past achievements and aspirations for future.

Officials of the State Power Department as well as from District Administration were also  present during the function.
