Hyderabad: Minister IK Reddy launches online ticketing system for visitors to Botanical Garden

Telangana state Forest Minister Sri A. Indrakaran Reddy along with Sri Gandra Venkat Ram Reddy, MLA Bhupalapally and TSFDC Chairman Sri Vanteru Prathap Reddy Inaugurated the online ticketing system for Botanical Garden walkers and visitors.

Similarly, the minister unveiled brochures related to the recognition of the botanical garden as a botanical paradise from now on. Forest Department Special CS Mrs. A. Shanthi kumari, PCCF (HoFF) Mr. RM Dobriyal, VC&MD, TSFDC Dr. G. Chandrasekhar Reddy, other senior officials, HDFC Bank officials were present in the program at Aranya Bhavan today.

Speaking on this occasion, Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy said that the state government is taking special measures for the development of urban forest parks to provide clean air and healthy environment to the people and called upon the people to take advantage of them. He explains the development of botanical garden.

Botanical Garden is developed in Kothaguda RF block having an area of 110.87 Ha (274.11 Acres). The following are the major developments taken up in this area.

Botanical Garden visitors zone developed in area of 8.68 Ha with various facilities like pathway, Gazebos, Open Gym, Cactus Garden, Environment Education Center, Navagrahvanam, Naksthra Vanam, Rasi Vanam, Adventure games, Yoga Centre, Indoor A/C Gym, Amphi Theatre, water ponds, snake bar, toilets etc.,

Pala Pitta Cycling Park: A very unique and exclusive Cycling Park is developed in an area of 17.20 Ha where a well laid cycling track of about 3 Kms is available.

Botanical Garden Conservation area: This is a large Forest area of about 38.40 Ha and there is well laid walking track of about 3 Kms. Daily approximately 2000 walkers come inside the area.

Theme Park: It is proposed to develop more than 75 Theme parks with information boards inside the Conservation zone of the Kothaguda RF. The existing Eucalyptus & Subabul is removed and proposed to plant 2,00,000 plants with about 2000 species.

50 Theme parks, 7 Eco-Systems & 18 Forest Types are proposed to be developed.

Medicinal Garden – 9 Themes: Product Utility Garden – 16Themes: Phyto feature Garden – 11 Themes: Conceptual Garden – 8 Themes: Mythological Garden – 6 Themes

As part of Social responsibility the HDFC Bank has extended cooperation to TSFDC by supporting entire plantation cost in Chilkur Forest Urban Park. An amount of Rs.87.75 lakh is approved under CSR support from HDFC Bank.
