Telangana: Govt committed to safety and security of forest employees: Proposes to Govt to provide arms, set up forest stations: PCCF Dobiriyal
PCCF Mr. R.M. Dobriyal clarified that the government is committed to the safety and security of the employees, the CM has already made this clear and the DGP has also given clear instructions on the cooperation of the police department.
Arms for personnel, establishment of forest stations (first phase proposal 30 stations, each with 18 personnel), strict action against forest culprits in terms of law, new appointments, vehicles to prepare proposals to the government and assured that they will be approved soon.

After the murder of FRO Srinivasa Rao, the state government at all levels responded quickly and stood by his family and declared moral support to the forest personnel, Chief Forest Officer, PCCF (HOOF) R.M. Dobrial said. The assurance was given on behalf of the government through a video conference with the state level forest employees today.
Expressing happiness that CM KCR took the initiative and announced an immediate package for the family of FRO, he thanked the CM on the occasion. The PCCF, which has already discussed with all the forest trade unions, once again collected the views of all levels of employees on the field level issues in a long video conference. The PCCF explained that the government has focused on preventive measures for the damage caused to the valuable forest due to the Guthikoyas.
As the government is working to solve the problem of deforestation on a priority basis, the PCCF directed that the forest department staff must be involved in the relevant process as per the ROF Act.
He expressed the hope that the higher authorities and the government are sympathetic to the problems of field level personnel and security and that solutions will be implemented as soon as possible.
He said that it is the responsibility of the forest officials to take the slogan ‘Jangalbachao – Jungalbadao’ widely to the people and protect the forests with the support of public representatives and all sections. PCCF has requested that whoever acts to cause damage to the forests and harm the staff should be brought to the attention of the government along with action within the ambit of law.
