Hyderabad: Cyber crime up by 57% in Telangana during 2022, says DGP Mahender Reddy

Telangana Director General of Police Mahender Reddy today said the crime rate has increased by 4.44 percent compared to last year in the state.

The DGP released the Annual Crime Report 2022 in Hyderabad. On this occasion, he said cybercrime have increased by 57 percent.

Stating that 120 Maoists have surrendered this year, he said the anti-Maoist operations were carried out successfully under the government’s orders to make the state Maoist-free.

The DGP said steps have been taken to prevent communal clashes across the state.
