Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Dharmendra Pradhan flag off Shri Jagannath Yatra Tourist train
The Shri Jagannath Yatra Tourist train was today flagged off from Safdarjung station in Delhi. The train will cover famous pilgrimage sites of Kashi Vishwanath in Varanasi, Baba Baidyanath temple in Jharkhand, Puri, and Konark in Odisha and Vishnupad temple in Bihar during its eight-day journey.
The train is running under the Bharat Gaurav initiative of the Indian Railways. Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy flagged off the train.
Talking to reporters, Rail Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said, the main objective behind the Bharat Gaurav train is to showcase the diverse culture and rich heritage of India.
