Amaravathi: Greenery is the way to protect environment: PCCF Madhusudhan Reddy at Republic Day celebrations
Mr. Y. Madhusudana Reddy PCCF, The head of state forest forces has called to reduce the use of plastic as much as possible, besides increasing greenery for environment protection. The Republic Day celebrations were grandly organized at the Forest Department headquarters in Mangalagiri.
On this occasion, he addressed the staff after unveiling the national flag. He called to improve the performance and move towards the goal of forest conservation and thereby contribute to the growth of the country.
He asked to reduce the use of plastic as much as possible in forest department offices and visiting places across the state. He asked to reduce electricity consumption in offices. As a part of the carbon foot print, alternative ways should be explored in terms of limited resources.

The staff was asked to pay special attention to the nurseries. In these too, due attention should be paid to the cultivation of commercial plants. He called upon the actions taken by the Forest Department to set an example for all to protect the environment.
