Hyderabad: ‘India targets Indigenous Technology’ says Rajesh S. Karvande, Scientist DRDO at GITAM
India has a target that let us fill our own technology which is indigenously designed, developed, and manufactured in India, said Rajesh S. Karvande, Scientist ‘F’, D HILS, RCI, Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO) Hyderabad.

He graced as the chief guest for the inaugural of ‘Havana-2.0’, a national inter-institutional technical fest at GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad on 16th March 2023. Department of Electrical, Electronics & Communication Engineering, School of Technology has been organizing this two-day event.

‘We all are there with you. If you have any idea or any innovation, you want funding, contact DRDO. We will definitely fund you’ Rajesh gave an open offer to the budding engineers. A few students from GITAM have involved in the development of “model based 6 DoF” in MATLAB/Simulink. I really appreciated the GITAM students on that particular aspect”.


Prof. Karunakar.B, Director, School of Business exhorted that it is a fantastic opportunity to learn and advised to scale greater heights. Sri. DVVSR Varma, Resident Director said that good is there everywhere and students have to adopt it.

Prof. Madhavi Tatineni, HoD, EECE has briefed about the department and its achievements. M.Naresh Kumar, Convenor, Dr. D Anitha, coordinator, faculty members and M.Pranav, President, G-Electra, students from various colleges also participated in the inaugural session.

Mr. Syed Hafeez, Telugu Tech Tuts; Mr. Vaasu Gaddam, Vaasu Tech Vlogs gave a talk in Havana day one. About 20 proto type projects from various Engineering Colleges across the twin cities have been displayed in this event. Students have also presented technical papers and displayed posters.
