Telangana: 50% power saving with TSREDCO measures; Need for awareness on power saving: Chairman Satish Reddy
Mr. Y. Satish Reddy ,Chairman Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TSREDCO) inspected the LED lights and BLDC fans installed in Mulugu district under the Energy Conservation Mission.
He visited Pasra Police Station, Pattipalli Primary Health Center and Gram Panchayat Building of Mulugu District and inspected the performance of solar power equipment installed by the TSREDCO.
Speaking on the occasion, he said, “The organization has undertaken this program with the aim of promoting devices that reduce electricity consumption. As part of this, LED lights and BLDC fans have been installed in government offices, hospitals, police stations and schools.
LED lights and BLDC fans have been installed in 99 police stations, 108 villages, 8 degree colleges and 100 schools in the state. With equipment installed by Redco, electricity consumption can be saved up to 50 percent. This will also reduce the electricity bill.

By installing LED lights and BLDC fans in schools, students will also be made aware of electricity saving. He explained that Redco is working to install LED lights and BLDC fans in all government offices at the rural level across the state.
Mr. Satish Reddy, Chairman called upon the people to create awareness on energy saving measures and to use electric devices with low power consumption and star rating. With the arrangement in the government offices, the people who come there are aware of these and they can also use them.
On this occasion, he talked to the staff there and inquired about the details. The staff there expressed happiness over the installation of LED lights and BLDC fans. Mulugu District Library Association Chairman Govind Naik and Mulugu District SP Gaush Alam participated in this program
