TS: Dana Kishore visited flood prone areas
Hyderabad: It has been raining heavily in Hyderabad for the last two days. The rains caused the aquifer drinking water pipelines adjacent to the embankment to collapse as the Firzadi Guda black pond next to the Warangal Highway collapsed. As a result, fresh water supply to some parts of Firzadiguda and Uppal Municipality has been partially cut off. Water Board MD Dana Kishore visited the spot to review the situation.
Speaking on the occasion, he said, “Authorities have been directed to immediately carry out pipeline restoration work and supply water to the flood-hit people through water tankers.” In addition, water pockets and water cans in rehabilitated areas should be provided for drinking water. Submersible pumps and tanks should be cleaned with bleaching powder and then chlorinated in water. It has already been explained that chlorine tablets are being distributed under the auspices of the Water Board.
He also visited Bandlaguda Pond, L.B.Nagar, Vanasthalipuram, Nagole, Banjara Colony and Ayyappa Colony. If there is anything related to fresh water and sewage, call the water board customer care number 155313 and complain.
