NTPC Simhadri : Rs. 110 Cr Solar Project Bhoomi Pujan today
NTPC Simhadri commences its long term endeavor towards a sustainable future fueled by renewable energy sources as it conducted the Bhoomi Pujan for the largest Floating Solar Project in Andhra Pradesh on August 5.
This auspicious beginning has marked the start of civil works of the Central Monitoring and Control Station near the Raw Water Reservoir for the upcoming 25 MW Floating Solar Project. The contract for this power plant has been awarded to BHEL.
This ceremony was executed in the presence of Executive Director, NTPC Simhadri, V Sudharshan Babu, GM (O&M)- I/C, Shivam Srivastava, GM (Operation), S Srikrishna and officials from HR, EMD, Civil, FES Departments as well as BHEL executives.
The project cost of this initiative in the state is Rs. 110 crore. With the magnitude of resource and expertise investment, the resultant structure, post commissioning shall be the largest Floating Solar PV Plant in the country. This is just another addition to the rapidly growing renewable energy portfolio of the organization.
