S S Deswal, Director General BSF today led an All India Tree Plantation Campaign at 95 Bn BSF Campus, Bhondsi, Gurugram. In a concerted effort of ‘Greening the Nation’, BSF troops in all campuses across the country planted over 2.5 lakh saplings during the drive.
Border Security Force, India’s First Line of Defence, remains committed to protecting the Environment by preserving and improving the green cover of the planet. BSF is driven by a desire to set a glorious tradition of helping our future generations inherit a better future. As such, we Seem, a Praharis continually embark on such plantation drives on a regular basis in all our locations across the country & border areas.
As per the directions of MHA, the plantation drive has been underway since World Environment Day i.e 5th June 2020 in all BSF establishments, spread in 17 states. In the present instance, details of saplings planted by BSF Frontiers & Institutions in various states of the country are as follows:
