Vizag Zoo : Celebrations for 66th Vanyaprani Saptah during 1st week of Oct,2020
Nandani Salaria IFS Curator Indira Gandhi Zoological Park, Visakhapatnam supposed that over the past few decades, there has been a paradigm shift towards educating people about nature and wildlife conservation within zoos through various modes of communication and conservation education has become one of the very important objectives of Indian zoo’s.
Conservation education is the process of influencing people,s attitudes, emotions, knowledge, and behaviours about wildlife and wildlife habitats. Public learning about conservation of wildlife and habitats is vital for avoiding any further extinction of wildlife and shrinking of its habitats, when educating people about the importance of conservation of species and their habitats in zoos, what we focus upon is creating a connection between them and nature.
